Kraken Technologies raised $1 billion in its first standalone funding round at an $8.65 billion valuation. The round was led by D1 Capital Partners, with participation from Fidelity International, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board, Durable Capital Partners, and others. Led by CEO Amir Orad, the company builds an AI-powered operating system for the global energy sector.
OpenAI raised $41 billion in new funding led by SoftBank, granting the investor an approximate 11% stake. Founded in 2015 by Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Wojciech Zaremba, Vicki Cheung, Ilya Sutskever, and others, OpenAI develops generative AI systems including ChatGPT and its GPT family of models.
Moonshot AI raised $500 million in its Series C round, valuing the company at $4.3 billion. The financing was led by IDG Capital, with participation from Alibaba Group Holding, Tencent, and others. Led by CEO and co-founder Yang Zhilin, the company develops foundational models powering the Kimi assistant.
Green and Smart Mobility is planning a Hong Kong IPO, seeking to raise at least $200 million at a potential valuation of up to $3 billion. Founded by Pham Nhat Vuong, the company operates Vietnam’s largest all-electric taxi fleet under the Xanh SM brand using VinFast vehicles.
InMobi is in talks to raise up to $150 million in a pre-IPO round ahead of a potential FY27 listing. Founded in 2007 by Naveen Tewari, Piyush Shah, Abhay Singhal, Mohit Saxena, and Amit Gupta, the company is a global mobile advertising and adtech platform and operates the Glance lock-screen content service.
